Functions and responsibilities of the editorial team

AMIDI.Biblioteca Digital Repository  has an Editorial Board whose members aim to keep the Digital Repository quality and the relevance of its topics according to the editorial line, as follows:

Principal Digital Repository Curator: It maintains the Digital Repository identity and coordinates all activities involved in publishing each issue; makes decisions with the support of the Scientific Committee regarding an issue's themes, issue coordinators, and content; proposes members of the Editorial Committee who will undertake an initial reading of each article; it is responsible for the continuity and timeliness of the Digital Repository. Together with the Associated Editor, verify if books, chapter books, and proceedings fulfill academic and editorial guidelines ("form analysis"); encourages the formation of networks, holding dissemination events, and forming alliances with other scholarly and Scientific Digital Repositories aided by members of the Editorial Committee and the Associated Editor; organizes training workshops for researchers, teachers, university authorities, and curators of other Digital Repositories to disseminate the norms of scholarly and scientific communication and culture; encourages the permanent training of the editorial team through congresses and workshops for the improvement of the editorial processes; heads institutional communication and public relations; ensures that the AMIDI.Biblioteca Digital Repository is included and remains cited in the national and international highest quality bibliometric indexes.

Associated Digital Repository Curator: It is responsible for establishing direct contact with authors and reviewers; it sends the certificates of acceptance, publication, and final decisions regarding digital books in the arbitrated review process. Follows up on all processes involving articles, registering advances on relevant logs; assumes responsibility for copyediting articles for spelling, grammar, and overall understanding. Supports the Principal Digital Repository Curator in connecting with relevant actors, promoting networks, holding training sessions, and AMIDI.Biblioteca Digital Repository dissemination activities and stimulating the open-access aspect of scholarly and research information; helps disseminate new technologies and open-access matters for professors, researchers, and editors. It encourages training sessions for professors, researchers, and students interested in writing scholarly and research digital books according to publication strategies.

Copyeditor: It is responsible for updating and meeting the technological requirements derived from the digital publication of the AMIDI.Biblioteca Digital Repository . It performs layout and editorial design functions. It is in charge of all interior and lining prepress issues. It sends the files of the most recent issues to the databases and indexing networks where the Digital Repository is hosted on the Internet for technical administration and its updating.

Scientific Committee: It comprises national and international scholars and researchers who are specialists in the disciplines of the sciences and are recognized for the scope and depth of their experience. The Scientific Committee's duties are to attempt to improve the quality of the works according to the editorial line, promote the Digital Repository among colleagues and students, supervise the editorial procedures, making opinions about the Digital Repository expectations, and ensure the quality and prestige of the AMIDI.Biblioteca Digital Repository. They are nominated given their thematic affinity with the digital repository according to their academic and research background and experience. Hence, their opinion is vital and is often called up to review and determine the issues in the Digital Repository.

Editorial Committee: It comprises a group of research professors from several national and international academic institutions, thus covering all the affordable fields and sub-fields for the Digital Repository. Members of the Editorial Committee are tasked with an initial reading of articles to decide if they should proceed to the blind peer-review process ("content analysis"). Other responsibilities include: ensuring that articles that pass the review process fulfill the submission requirements and comply with content quality standards, nominating articles that are of interest to the digital repository, and suggesting topics for the thematic section of the AMIDI.Biblioteca Digital Repository ; proposing coordinators for particular issues; ensuring quality in academic and artistic content in the editing process of the Digital Repository; they support and strengthen the digital repository identity through the contents according to the AMIDI.Biblioteca Digital Repository .
